Lawyers for Human Rights invites applications from law graduates with an interest in human rights law and public interest litigation to join our Candidate Attorney Programme.
LHR offers candidate attorneys comprehensive in-house training and financial support to complete School of Legal Practice training. The position is based in LHR’s Pretoria office, and the placement will focus primarily on the work of the Refugee and Migrant Rights Programme, in the first instance.

LHR is part of the movement for social justice and undertakes strategic litigation and advocacy, as well as operates walk-in law clinics in three provinces, in order to provide high quality, inclusive legal services to marginalised communities and individuals who cannot afford private representation. LHR works closely with its strong networks of key stakeholders including Chapter Nine institutions, local and provincial government, and community-based organisations.
