Read our joint submission to the Committee on the Rights of the Child with regard to the right to a child’s right to a nationality under Article 7 and 8 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). We partnered with the Scalarbini Centre, the Centre for Child Law, and the Institute on Statelessness and Inclusion.
The purpose of the submission is to highlight issues pertaining to South Africa’s compliance with Article 7 and 8 of the CRC and to guide the Committee on the List of Issues Prior to Reporting that will be adopted before South Africa’s next country report is due in 2022
